Here are rules in development for the proposed Conservation Dinner online auction - which is being considered for 2008:
Please register before bidding by providing your contact information to the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) at info@abca.on.ca
We are hoping to create a website where you will receive a password which can be used for all future bidding. Watch this site in the future to find out when this feature is active. In the meantime, please send your bids by e-mail to: tcumming@abca.on.ca with 'Online Auction Bid' in the subject line.
Bidders must be 18 years of age or older to take part in the auction.
Bidders are required to honour all high bids.
Each increase in bidding must meet or exceed the minimum bid increment.
Closing bids are determined on the bidding close date, which is located underneath the photo.
Successful bidders will be contacted as soon as we are able by e-mail and/or telephone (please ensure we have an accurate e-mail address).
We reserve the right to remove any item from the auction prior to the closing date or time if there are no bids on that item.
PLEASE NOTE THE CLOSING DATE OF THE ITEM.
PAYMENT FOR ITEMS MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN TWO (2) WEEKS OF BID CLOSING.
PLEASE ALLOW TWO (2) WEEKS FOR SHIPPING FOR REGULAR MERCHANDISE.
PLEASE ALLOW A MINIMUM OF 2 - 3 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY OF PRINTS.

If you’ve bid successfully on any item, you can then proceed to make payments for it. Payments must be received by the Conservation Dinner Committee within two weeks of the bid closing. Please note that all Canadian purchases are subject to a shipping and handling charge of $15 (Cdn), 6% GST and any applicable provincial sales taxes (e.g., 8% in Ontario).
Payments can be made by VISA, MasterCard, money order or cheque. Payment with credit card can be made by fax at (519) 235-1963, or by phone, toll-free, at 519-235-2610 or 1-888-286-2610. All other payment types must be mailed to:

Merchandise will be shipped out from the Conservation Dinner Committee as soon as possible after payment is received. Purchasers residing outside of Canada are responsible for the payment of customs clearance, duty, brokerage and shipping upon delivery of goods. NOTE: We do not ship merchandise outside the continent of North America.
Any product or shipment going to the United States must include the purchaser’s Social Security Number.
U.S. Customs will not allow any shipment without this information.
Please allow two weeks for shipping of regular merchandise, and a minimum of two to three weeks for delivery of prints.

Please make cheques payable to 'Conservation Dinner.' ('Online auction' can be added on the memo line of your cheque if you so wish. The above sample items have reserve bids that are higher than market value - your purchase of items through this website supports the charitable efforts of the Conservation Dinner.
